Location Guide
Choosing the right location for your session is one of the most important decisions in making your photoshoot everything you could’ve imagined, and I am here to help with that! Take a look at the locations I personally like to use and let me know which one best fits your vision!
The Studio
📍 Russellville, AR
If you’re wanting something more minimalistic or a special set up with props, the studio is a great option! I own a small studio with backdrops of multiple colors. This can be a simple or extravagant. The options are limitless.
Arkansas Tech University
📍 Russellville, AR
This location has so much more to offer than it seems! Although, it serves perfect for any ATU graduating seniors, it can be such a good spot for any senior from any school. It’s buildings are perfect for a more classy look, and with the right use you wouldn’t even be able to tell it’s at a ATU.
Dardanelle Bridge
📍 Russellville, AR
Seniors!!! This one is for you! This is one of the coolest spots Russellville has to offer. It’s perfect for more of a grunge look! Cool angles and trains as props is what this location is all about. It’s a perfect location all year round.
Lock and Dam Park
📍 Russellville, AR
This is one of my personal favorites! It’s has many beautiful trees and pretty ponds with an amazing background. It’s got multiple spots that make you feel like you forget you’re even in Russellville. Although it shines it’s best in the summer, it looks pretty amazing in the fall, as well. It can be used for any type of session.
Pleasant View Park
📍 Russellville, AR
This is a good one! I have used this spot for so many photoshoots. It has a beautiful pond with trees all over that look amazing almost all year round! In the fall, it’s trees turn into those pretty fall colors that you just can’t get enough of. It serves perfect for any type of session.
Russellville Field #1
📍 Russellville, AR
There is a small road that within less than a mile, there’s 2 beautiful fields. This first spot is one of my favorites. It has a bridge and water. The creativity and possibilities are endless at this location. It has everything you could possibly need for a session, including a pretty forest and access to a pretty lake.
Russellville Field #2
📍 Russellville, AR
For the second spot, there is a field right across the street. Depending on the time of year, the field is filled with flowers of all colors. These spots are perfect for any kind of session. Its an open field with lots of green, that fits any session!
Shiloh Park
📍 Russellville, AR
This is one of my recently discovered locations. Coincidentally, it is very close to the previous three. It’s gravel road and hills offer something different from my other locations. It has big open space where the sky could be captured in the best way. It has large trees that provide a perfect background. It is definitely underrated.
The Marina
📍 Russellville, AR
Water! That is what the marina is all about. It has multiple beautiful spots with amazing views at sunset that truly speak for themselves! It has multiple spots covered in rocks and beautiful trees, but no matter where you go, you’ll always get a part of that beautiful lake in your background. This location is perfect for all types of sessions!
Your School
📍 TBD
This is another location suggestion for seniors! Show your school pride by taking your senior pictures at the very school you’re graduating from! This makes for a perfect senior session by adding a memorable touch to your images. This option is never a bad one.
Dardanelle Sandbar
📍 Dardanelle, AR
This spot is an absolute favorite of mine. It’s a beach in Arkansas (at least we can pretend it is)! If you’re wanting a little bit of a change from all the fields, but wanting to stick to the greenery and nature, this spot is perfect. It serves as a perfect spot for portraits, couples, and families. It’s a little bit more casual and can be perfect for a dreamy, beachy feel.
Dardanelle Rock
📍 Dardanelle, AR
Sticking to the beach vibes, there is also the “beach” on the other side of the bridge. This location is right in front of Dardanelle Rock that also serves as a beautiful background. The difference between this spot and the sandbar? This spot has trees that have fallen and large branches that give a little bit of a western touch. They’re the perfect props. This location is perfect for all sessions.
Marina Rd
📍 Dardanelle, AR
This is a newer location, as well. It did not take much for it to become a personal favorite. In the summer, it is covered in the prettiest shades of greens. There’s so much water and all of this makes for some killer sunsets. The pictures speak for themselves.
Mtn. Nebo
📍 Dardanelle, AR
Mtn. Nebo is one of the best spots this area has to offer. It is known for its amazing view and hiking trails. The mountain is covered in large rocks and greenery that are perfect for a wide landscape shot that can make your session so much more dreamy. It is a perfect spot for any portrait or couple session! With this spot, you can either go for a more casual or fancier look.
Atkins Lake
📍 Atkins, AR
The spot with the most perfect sunset. If you’re looking for a pretty lake, an amazing sunset view, and a beautiful field this is the spot for you. In the summer, it’s field is covered in colorful wildflowers that give that fairytale look. All year round, the sun sets right on top of the water and shines straight through its field. This location is perfect for all types of sessions.
Atkins Bottoms
📍 Atkins, AR
Arkansas is best known for its beautiful fields and western look. Atkins Bottoms represents that exactly. Although Atkins may not look like it has a lot to offer, it definitely has the most perfect plain fields with mountains for a beautiful background. Its plain fields also allow for a beautiful sunset. This location is perfect for any and types of sessions.
